Due to a special request this next lesson is going to actual be a variety of date ideas. A dear girlfriend of mine gave me the suggestion to do a lesson on helping men think of unique date ideas. She, although happily married now, had quite a few interesting dates in her day (probably due to the fact that she is a great gal...and smokin' hot :) ). She even mentioned that sometimes she would forget the guy but remembered what an amazing date it was which is what helps her remember the guy. Hopefully none of them will see this and damage their ego :) So stay tuned gentlemen for your next dating tips advice.

One question. Your column talked about dating people in your league or within a couple of points. I asked my boys, who would be in my league? My 13 year old says it is everyone who is half your age plus 7 years. My 18 year old says it is all about your height to weight ration and if a person has hair and acne. Not much help. How is a person supposed to tell? Is the league all about what a person looks like? Does personality count and if so how many points? Intelligence? Is there some sort of website one can go too to find league standings? knowyourleague.com? Last thing, can you recommend some good cologne and a good book on how to be funny if you are an introvert? It seems like every woman on the planet wants a man who smells good and can make them laugh. What if you are only funny enough to make them smile a lot. Does that count?...TEN
ReplyDeleteWell TEN, a league is not necessarily based on age or height/weight. Those can be factors, but it has many components...mostly superficial. When you look in the mirror, be totally honest with yourself. Could you stand to lose a few? Do you think you dress well? Is your grooming at it's best? Your status in a career/financially, is it something to be proud of that others might be impressed with? These are the superficial aspects. Now, the personality is what can make up a couple points. But typically 2-3 points max. You should have a pretty good idea of what you'd rate yourself. Take that number and subtract 1. That's probably more accurate (usually people tend to find themselves more better looking than what they really are. But not always). If you are funny, intelligent, charming, witty, successful, or other characteristics of this element, then you can definitely date up a couple points. If you look at some celebrities and wonder how they score such hot chics, it's because they posses several of those characteristics listed above. Like 007 (Daniel Craig), he's actually got a very funny looking face, but he is extremely suave and confident. His wife is smokin hot. Overall the league thing starts with mostly superficial qualities, but there is a lot more too it. That's a great website name though. You could look into starting knowyourleague.com ;)
DeleteA good cologne, hhhmmmm...Ralph Lauren has some good ones, Sexy for Him by VS smells great (but doesn't last). I suggest maybe asking a few of your good looking lady friends what they like. Cuz you are very correct, a good smelling man that can make you laugh goes a looooong way ;)
